How to Use Canva Templates

Welcome to ChurchArt Pro's guide to using our new Canva Templates! This document walks you through everything you need to know to make the most of these new resources. 

What is Canva?

Canva is a user-friendly graphic design platform that allows anyone to create stunning visuals with ease. While ChurchArt Pro provides the backgrounds and templates, Canva offers additional tools and elements to enhance these designs. You can add your own text, images, and other creative elements to make the templates uniquely yours. 

Finding Canva-Compatible Templates 

1. Log in to your ChurchArt Pro account.

2. Navigate to the Canva Templates Section: Find this under the "Templates" menu, or use the search bar to locate specific templates. 

3. Browse the Templates: Explore the various templates available. We have a wide range of designs suitable for different church events, announcements, and more. 

How Canva Templates Work 

Our Canva templates are pre-designed layouts that you can customize to fit your specific needs. Here’s how to get started: 

1. Select a Template: Choose the template you wish to use and click on it. 

2. Open in Canva: Click the "Edit in Canva" button. This will redirect you to the Canva platform. 

What You Can Do with Our Canva Templates 

- Edit Text: Change the wording, font style, size, and color to match your message. 

- Change Images: Replace images with your own or choose from Canva’s extensive image library. 

- Adjust Colors: Modify the color scheme to better fit your church’s branding or the event theme. 

- Add Elements: Include additional elements like icons, shapes, and illustrations from Canva’s library. 

- Share and Collaborate: Share your design with team members for collaborative editing. 

What You Can't Do with Our Canva Templates 

• Resell or Redistribute: You cannot resell or redistribute the templates in their original or modified form. 
• Claim Ownership: You cannot claim the design as your own creation. 
• Use for Inappropriate Content: You cannot use the templates for content that is offensive, inappropriate, or outside the intended use for church-related activities. 

Canva Account Requirements 

To use our templates, we recommend creating a Canva account. Here are the account options: 

• Free Account: Provides access to a wide range of features and templates. 
• Pro Account: Offers additional features like premium images, fonts, and more storage space. 

You can sign up for a Canva account at Canva Signup.

You can edit a template without an account, but you won’t be able to save your work.

If you need help with Canva, its support resources are very comprehensive. Visit the Canva Help Center for tutorials, FAQs, and more. 

Requesting a Template Be Made Available in Canva 

If you’d like an existing template on ChurchArt Pro to be made available in Canva format, please follow these steps: 

1. Go to the Contact Us menu. Next, click the Email Us link.

2. Fill in Your Details: Provide your name, email, and a brief description of your request. 

3. Template Details: Include the name or link of the template you’d like to be converted to Canva format. 

4. Submit the Request: Our team will review your request and work on making the template available in Canva.
