Importing and Using Images with your word-processing program
To ensure the best image quality, download images and import or insert them into your program. Here are the basic steps for inserting an image.

Insert pictures into Word
Step 1:
- Select Insert > Pictures to use an image from your computer.
- Navigate to the folder where you've saved the image.
Step 2:
- Select the picture you want, and then select Insert.
Resize or move pictures
- To resize a picture, select the picture and drag a corner handle.
- To wrap text around a picture, select the picture, and then select a wrapping option.
EPS files can no longer be inserted into Office documents. For details, see Support for EPS images has been turned off in Office.
Insert pictures in Publisher
Step 1:
- Select the Insert tab > Pictures to use an image from your computer.
- Navigate to the folder where you've saved the image.
Step 2:
- Select the picture you want, and then select Insert.
You can also insert images by:
- Select Home tab > Pictures > From File
- Select Insert tab > Picture Placeholder > resize picture placeholder to desired size > double-click to insert image
Insert pictures in PowerPoint
Step 1:
- Click where you want to insert the picture on the slide.
Step 2:
- Click the Insert tab > Pictures (in the Images group)
Step 3:
- In the dialog box that opens, browse to the picture that you want to insert, click that picture, and then click Insert.
Tip: If you want to insert multiple pictures at the same time, press and hold the Ctrl key while you select all the pictures you want to insert.
